Beauty of Washington State
Spending my last month back home soaking up the beauty of Washington State. Sometimes when you are traveling or wanting to travel, it is easy to forget about the amazing opportunities you have at home. Whether it’s across the ocean or a short drive away, make sure to get out and explore!
I spent my time at home soaking in the natural beauty of the great outdoors. I hiked Rattlesnake Ridge, which is a very popular trail in Washington (for a reason). It’s about an hour drive from Seattle and takes about 45 minutes to get to the top. The views are truly stunning.
We visited Snoqualmie Falls in the same day, as it is just a short drive from Rattlesnake Ridge. It’s very crowded here, but the views from the lower observation deck are truly stunning and you can feel the spray from the waterfall hitting your face.
I also went to Paradise Valley on Mount Rainier. Hiking the Paradise Loop was on my bucket list, and I was so happy that I got to achieve it this summer. The wildflowers were out in full bloom, and it is also a great place to see wildlife. Paradise Valley is aptly named and it very beautiful!
Last but not least, I took a drive to Lake Cushman with one of my best friends. Lake Cushman is located in the Olympic National Park, and it’s very lovely. We didn’t go hiking, preferring to lounge in the sun and swim, but there are great trails located nearby as well.
