Korea does beauty really, really well. From facials to getting my hair done, all the beauty treatments I have received here have been on point. K-Beauty is fairly popular in the USA as well, but it wasn’t until I got to Seoul did I truly understand just how amazing some of the brands and products were

Here are my picks for my favorite Korean beauty products, all fairly reasonably priced. Enjoy!
I love Innis Free because they use natural ingredients from Jeju Island and try to be as environmentally friendly as possible with their packaging. The green tea serum uses green tea leaves to add suppleness and hydration to your skin. It absorbs almost instantly and leaves my skin feeling refreshed without leaving any layer on top, like some other serums do.
This is my go-to BB cream, and I feel like it leaves my skin looking dewy and bright, while still covering any imperfections. It evens my skin tone and has an SPF of 30, which is good for Korean summers. It doesn’t feel thick or cakey, and it makes my skin look like I am not wearing any makeup.
This list wouldn’t be complete without a sheet mask, and this one is one of my favorites. Not only is this sheet mask really cute, but it actually works. Banila Co’s It Radiant line focuses on hydrating and brightening, and this mask does just that.
This is a primer that actually works. It goes on smoothly and leaves my skin with a flawless, matte base. It doesn’t break me out like a lot of other primers, and it helps my makeup stay on through a long night out or a tough day. I actually like this primer better than any of the expensive Sephora primers I have tried at home.
I hadn’t heard about essences before I arrived in Seoul, but they are an essential part of my skin care routine now. I love SK-II’s facial essence, but I feel that this one works just as well and it is much more affordable. It’s also paraben and fragrance free.
What are some of your favorite K-Beauty products? Any suggestions or recommendations?
